Mind Lab Trip

Today in class we made a recount going to M.O.T.A.T. We went with Mrs Emma's group first and we had to go with a partner. For this activity we had to try make the light turn on and at first it was hard but at the end my partner and I got the light going. Then Mrs Emma said that my partner and I haft to try build our own kind of light and then we had to try make and piece that will attach to the light we made a piece that will attach to the light  and we got it to connected and then we went to Mrs Kenyas group.
she was making and electric car and she wanted us to make what she was making so we did not get to copy her so I used some cardboard for the body of the car. And I used a skewer and then I snap it and I put plastic wheels on the skewer before that I put a straw in between the wheels and the straw helps the wheels move. Last I put a battery pack and a propeller to help it move and helps to move the wheels  and went for a travel. My class and I saw old water pipes and then we played on the park and then we went back to school and then we went home.

Target Numbers

Today in class I did a blog post with my partner. For target numbers, we had to put the numbers on our document. And we had to take a photo of our maths problem on our class site.`

S.T.E.A.M.- Mind Map

 Today we did a bus stop activity called S.T.E.A.M. we used lucid chart to make mind map . Steam                                      stands for Art Science Technology maths engineering.

I like lions, because they are my favorite animal. Lions hunt other animals
for their food to eat. Lions have big jaws to eat and hunt. Some lions are
fast and some are never fast. They have big claws to climb,and kill. Lions
have sharp claws to also run fast. I think that lions claws are dangerous ,
because they could hurt people. Lions come from Africa. Lions live in a
large group.Small lions cant go in large groups they go with their mum.
Lions are my favorite animal ,because they look soft ,and there mane looks
fluffy and, smooth.

Zoo Recount

Zoo Recount

YAY! I was so excited because my class room and I went to the zoo. We went to the
zoo because the Warehouse sponsored us and Richies gave us free buses. 

Before we started the learning session we went to see the Red Pandas.
Then we went to the Australia section and saw the Wallabies and Emus. There were
two emus and one was looking around and the other emu was looking after the eggs.
After that we went to see the parrot. It was called a Macaw. Then we went to South
America section and I saw Tarantulas, Spider monkeys and Alligators. 

After that we met at the education center, we went with Hohepa to see the baboons.
It had a pink bum! Then we went to see the Cheetahs. Hohepa showed us a pelt, it
still had claws and paws on it. After that we went to see the Elephants they were inside
and they were putting bark on their backs. Their names are Burma,
Anjali they’re both girls. The keeper opened one of the Elephant’s mouths. Then
Hohepa showed us an Elephant tusk and told us that people hunt Elephants for their
tusks. Then he showed us a book that was made out of elephant poo. Finally
we went to visit the flamingos they had straight and skinny legs. 

After our session with Hohepa we had lunch then we went to see the Porcupine.
Then we all met at the playground and most of the kids went on the big long slide.
My favorite part was when I went on the long slide. After going on the  playground,
we went to see the kunekune pig. They were big. After we went for one last walk
we and we saw the two lions. I also saw one lion eating their food. 

I had so much fun going to the zoo and I hope I can go with my family to the zoo one day. I think my favourite part of the day was the Elephants and the Cheetahs.

Trial and Error

Today in class we solved a number problem by using Trial and Error. We guessed a number between 1 and 10 then we did  9x3 then we did 9+8 but it didn't work then we tried 7x3 and 7+8 but it still didn't work so we tried 5x3 and 5+8 but it still didn't work then we tried 4x3 and 4+8 and it worked.
